State Park Alerts

 Water will be shut off to the campsites starting October 16th.  We will continue to have a hydrant in the office parking lot available year round.  We will also keep the Northside Bathhouse open (located near the rental cabins).  Page Creek will not have any water.  Call the office if you would like more details

The Cheney State Park office will be closed on Wednesday, February 21st so that staff can attend training.

The East Shore and West Shore areas of Cheney State Park have the water shut off now to the sites and the bathrooms are shut down for the winter. The only sites  with water still available in the off-season are #32 to 51 on the south side of Smarsh Creek campground.  Those sites have frost-free hydrants.  The cabins are year-round also.

Meade County if currently under a burn ban, due to this no campfires or open charcoal grills are allowed, closed charcoal (one with a lid) and gas grills are still permitted.

The Seasonal Summer (aka long-term camping) lottery draw has concluded.  There are still a few spots available for first come first serve.  The Seasonal Camping is available from March 1 2018 to November 30 2018.  Please call the Park office with any questions or concerns.

The Courtesy Dock at the Lake View Boat Ramp has been pulled for the season.

Perry State Park remains open but the WATER HAS BEEN SHUT OFF FOR THE WINTER.

The water is off at the following campgrounds' LAKE VIEW, EAGLE LANDING COTTONWOOD BRIDGE and WILD HORSE All Bath/Shower Houses, and the Fish Cleaning Station are closed. The Dump Station at the entrance and the one in Lake View are open but the water is shut off for rinsing.COUGAR PASS Campground will have water throughout the winter, but you HAVE TO DISCONNECT from the Hydrant after filling your water tanks so the lines don't freeze.

Please use caution and wear brightly colored clothing (preferably ORANGE) when using all trials.

Remember to Lock your vehicles when they are unattended at the Trails Parking Lots

Horse trails and bike trails cross over into CORP of Engineers Land and there is walk in hunting on many parts of their property.

Sand Hills will be hosting the Exploring Sand Hills Competitive Trail Ride again this year on April 20th to 22nd, 2018.  We've also got a new one this year on the first weekend of June.  The Old Cowgirls trail ride.  It ought to be interesting.

Sand Hills State Park is a year-round campground for the campsites.  We have shut the restroom down and the dump station for the winter.

Fish Cleaning Station has been shut down for the winter.
Rock Point Campground, Lakeview Campground and Old Marina Campground have been shut down to all camping for renovations. Old Marina 21-26 and 29-31 are open with electric only. Old Marina 28 (full hook-up) is open with electric, water and sewer.
ALL shower houses have been shut down for the winter.

Campfires are not allowed at this time.  We are in a total fire ban.

Trout was stocked Dec. 21.

Blue-Green Algae Warning/Watch has been removed. Please use caution, if the area does not look clean do not enter.
